It's correct answer is 40 years.
16 gm to 8 gm in 10 years
8 gm to 4 gm in 10 years {again}
4 gm to 2 gm in 10 years
2 gm to 1 gm in 10 years
So, It will take {10+10+10+10=40} 40 years.
