A Protocol is basically a convention of standard which
controls the connection and the connections and data
transfers associated with it. It governs the syntax,
semantics and synchronization used in computing.
There are a number of protocols used in computing. The most
popular ones being the following:
Telnet (Telnet Remote Protocol)
SSH (Secure Shell Remote Protocol)
IP (Internet Protocol)
UDP (User Datagram Protocol)
