why we are caling 440 volt 3 phase supply instead of 660
volt 3 phase supply? because each phase as a voltage of 220
volt. if anybody know the answer for my question please
send it to my mail id. thank you.

The sum of any 2 phases is 440. This is a rough estimate as
several factors can play on the load side of the circuit.
Between any one wire (phase) and ground can be 207VAC to
277VAC (with no Load). It's that way because the electrons
said so . . . I talked to them last week.
