What are the latest employee evalution trends?
Answer Posted / guest
My answer for this go with Anand,
Depending on the companies employee strength, service or
product offerings, and organizational structures each one is
following the employee evaluation technique that falls as
per their company policies adopted.
Initially the evaluation was just among the peers and
employee and then finalized by the manager/boss to whom one
was reporting, which was quite useful tool to measure the
performance of the project as well as team, but was not for
employee alone. When size of the project, work increased and
top management, stakeholders used to have impact on the
project where there was need for evaluating employees
individually, started going for 360 evaluation technique.
This was depending on the schedule of the project which was
on going through out the year or more.If the project is
going for a long time, or the organizational expansions are
taking place probably management may be willing to perform
360 evaluations for business growth and in strategical methods.
These are not trends but learning experiences for the
companies which are more into process improvement
initiatives.A company or a project started with 90, and
after certain period of time doing 180, and then 360
evaluations, where it was a continuous improvement to the
employee as well as project and company.
So it is absolutely a scale to measure than following as a
trend..
Trends may basically fall as any employee will be evaluated
based on their knowledge, skills, and expertise and time
taken to perform the assigned tasks in efficient and
effective way.
720 comes into picture when an employee is working for more
than one clients/companies which was absolutely does not
exist as my knowledge..
