let age of raja be x and age of raghav be y
given:x=2y (1)
x-4=y+3 (2)
x-y=12 (3)
soln:(2y-4)-(y+3)=12 [substituting (2) in (3)]
2y-4-y-3=12
y-7=12
y=19
x=38
x+y=57
