1. Manages file-based events.
2.Monitors the specified directory.
3.Triggers your file-based event by notifying the CMS.
4.The CMS then starts any jobs dependent upon file-based
event.
5.After notifying the CMS of the event, it resets itself
and again monitors the directory for the appropriate file.
2.If RAS is down , you cant generate Webi reports, since
RAS
1.Processes reports viewed with Advanced DHTML viewer.
2.Provides the ad hoc reporting capabilities that allow
users to create and modify reports over the Web.
3.Responsible for responding to page requests by processing
reports and generating EPF pages.
4.Uses an internal caching mechanism that involves no
interaction with the Cache Server.
5.Supports COM, ASP.NET, and Java viewer SDKs.
