What snowflake and Starschema?

Answer Posted / bhaskar.nagi

Star Schema: Star Schema contains Centrally located Fact
table sourended by Dimension Tables. So Data Base design
looks like a Start. Fact table contains the fact information
at the lowest level granularity. Fact table contains Foreign
keys and Dimension Table contains Primary key.

Snow Flake Schema: In a star schema, if a dimension table is
spleted into one or more dimension results in normalization
of dimensions. Since the database design looks like snow
flake structure.
