I am the owner of a pet store. If I put in one canary per
cage, I have one bird too many. If I put in two canaries
per cage, I have one cage too many. How many cages and

as answer a is excluded, so the only possibility that when
put 2 birds in one cage we have one cage too many, which
means one cage has one bird in only .
so
5 birds 4 cages
