why is power supplied in 3 phase only? why not in 2 or 4
phases?

in electrical field 3 phase supply have more advantages as
follow,
1. it more flexible compare other 2 or 4 phasr system
2.less transmission loss compare to same.
3.it can be convert in 3 phase 4 wire system it happens in
only 3 phase systems.
