HDLC and PPP are the protocols used in Leased lines.
HDLC stands for High Level Data Link Control
PPP-Point To Point Protocol.
mainly HDLC is cisco proprietary protocol and PPP is OSI
protocol.PPP checks for authorization.It intergrates with
2 protocols PAP and CHAP.
PPP supports compression and HDLC doesnt support
compression.
