depreciation is charged for wear and tear of assets. By
charging depreciation value of assets decreases.
Where as depreciation reserve is an amount kept to write off
depreciation. following are the entries
1.depreciation a/c dr
Asset a/c
2.Dep reserve a/c dr
depreciation a/c
