WHAT IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A DC GEAR MOTOR AND STEPPER
MOTOR.AND WHICH IS MORE APPROPRIATE TO USE FOR POSITION
CONTROL PURPOSE?
Answer Posted / sunil. g
As the name itself suggest us in a DC gear motor the
position is predefined ie a cogwheel has a equidistant
teeth, but a stepper motor is one which can be controlled
very precisely. It all dependes on the position you ermark
if you know the exact position you can use DC Gear motor if
it is different angle which is not uniform you can use
Stepper motor.
