1) What is Flameless combustion?
2) What does the Second law of thermodynamics define?

Answer Posted / bassam

Flameless combustion refers to the combustion process which
takes place at low temperature and consequently the flame is
colorless or cannot be seen (let's say a flame with a fade
color).

This is usually accomplished by mixing the air with a large
portion of the exhaust gases before introducing the air to
the combustion chamber.

A very nice paper is here:

The second law of thermodynamics provide a law that govern
the direction though which a process takes place. It says
"in simple English" that things move from high amplitude to
low amplitude. or things move from high concentration to low
concentration. and so forth

for example, it states that a heated cop of coffee will
transfer the heat to the surrounding and the opposite will
never take place (as long as no work is done).

another example is: if you spray a perfume then it will
propagate in the medium from high concentration to low
concentration and the opposite will never take place (as
long as no work is done).

This is the second law of thermodynamics. It provides a low
that govern how processes take place.
