fingerprint region is in the range of 600nm-1300nm for the
electromagnetic radiation. a person finger print does not
matches with any other person. like wise here also a IR peak
in the finger print region does not matches with any other
peaks(for that particular deformation). that's why it is
mainly useful to separate some compounds from others.
