A transformer & an induction motor, which rotates, work on
the same principle of electromagnetic induction. In the case
of a motor, the rotor, which can be compared to the secondary
of a transformer,is wound on physically free to rotate
arrangement and hence it rotates.
But a transformer secondary is physically not designed and
is not free to rotate.
