Melanin is a chemical constituent which is responsible for
the colour of our bodies skin, eyes and hair. It is made up
of melanocytes which are found in the bottom layer of skin.
In some individuals the synthesis of melanin will be less or
will not occur, which can show up the lack of pigment in
skin, eyes and hair. This condition is called as albinism.
The two main problems related to albinism are the skin and
the vision problems.
