Law Ministry clears SBI-SBS merger, advises SBI Act amendment

New Delhi, Jun 6 (PTI) Clearing the decks for the
consolidation in the State Bank of India, the Law Ministry
has given a go ahead to the merger of State Bank of
Saurashtra with its parent entity.

However, SBI Act 1955 should be amended for the merger,
according to the advice of the Law Ministry to the Finance
Ministry, sources said.

The matter was referred to the Law Ministry about a month
back, sources added.

They also said that if the merger was done without the
amendment..

1) what do you mean by " expressly admissible expenses" ? 2) how do you gross up the value in the following cases-- (a) net interest received on bank deposites. (b) net amount received on winning from lottery.
