what r all the type of viberation measurement measuring in
turbin? what's the output of viberation sensor?

The answer No 1 given by Mr.Amit is absolutely correct. You
may need some more details.
The vibration sensors used in turbine, generator etc are all
same type i.e proximity type of sensors. The sensor are
mounted at the proximity of the Turbine and generator rotor.
From the sensors one coaxial cable runs to the proximiter,
which is mounted in a seperate JB nearby. From TSI Monitors,
this Vibration probes gets +24 Volts DC. The proximeter
gives a signal 0 to -22.4 Volts DC depending upon the
vibration measured by the sensor. Generally the diatance
between the probe tip and the rotor is maintained such that
it gives -10 Volts DC when the turbine is not running.
The sensor works on eddy current principle. As the rotor
vibration increases, the eddy current generation remains
contant, but the absorption of power in terms of eddy
current increaes. This loss of power is sensed by the
proximeter and DC voltage signal is transmitter to TSI
monitor for Measurement, Controlling & Indication purpose.

I was working on calibrating turbidity transmitters endress+hauser at effluent polishing plant. We calibrated using NTU buffers. What happened is that when we immersed the sensor, everytime we raise and lower the sensor gradually, the reading will vary.my question is that is there any specifications on what is the required distance from the bottom of the container with buffer to the face of the sensor? Is it ok to install the sensor in a medium which has turbulence specially if bubbles are present?
