Dear Mr. Jaswant,

Pls note, u have mentioned total rent amount is Rs.21000.00
per month.So pls follw below method

As per govt. order upto Rs.120000.00 no TDS. So u calculate
( 21000*12 months = 252000 - 120000 =132000.)So your
deductable TDS amount is Rs.132000.00 only.

132000/6 months + balance amount is Rs6000.

So u can deduct TDS from OCT-09 amount of Rs.6000*10% = 600.

i.e u have pay to rent amount on OCT-09 is Rs.20400 ( 21000-
600 _ only.


Then from Nov-09 to March-2010 y have to pay rent a/c
cheque amount is Rs.18900( 21000-2100 ) only


Are u clear.
