First, whenever you take a screenshot, especially for a
defect, helps the developer to understand what exactly the
defect it was.
Secondly, when you log a defect, you need to explicitly
mention the details on the following points:
DEFECT ID
DEFECT NAME
DEFECT DESCRIPTION
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
SEVERITY
PRIORITY
TEST CASE REFERENCE
SCREENSHOT
once the tester fills in the information, the developer
would be in more comfortable position to resolve the defect.
Hence Screenshot, is a part of the defect component.

You must test a trouble report where the problem cannot be reproduced. You tried using various test data files and mutations from the data files the customer sent along with the trouble report. The software does not fail the way it did at the customer's site.
