Difference between online UPS and OFFline UPS
(Uninterrupted power system):
1) Online UPS : In this system UPS is alway connected to
system. All equipment recieve power through UPS system. In
case of power failure it provide backup without any break
(no break system not even in milliseconds)
2) OFFline UPS : In this system UPS is not always connected
to system. As per design it only monitor healthiness of
power supply system and as soon as power goes OFF its
switch on automatically in few milli-seconds and provide
power back.
Nomrmally online UPS is preferable.
