why generation is done in delta nad transmission in star?
brief
Answer Posted / gunasekaran
basically generator are star connected with neutral earthing
but GT are delta connected because one voltage level one earthing should be permissible it should be at source end if it is more than one earthing third harmonics getting closed path it will destroyed the normal wave form.for transmission transformer is source end so it is earthed.
