what happen if power factor goss to above unity (one) ? of
any electrical system or motor.
Answer Posted / prashanth kumar hg
The power factor in elctrical systems is either a Lagging
one or leading one which is always less than unity.
Lagging power factor is case of induction loads (coils,
motors etc) and leading power factor in case of Capcitive
loads (capacitors).
And the power factor is always unity (1) in case of
Resistive loads (Heaters, Incandascent lamps, Resistors)
and the power factor will never goes more than 1.
