1. In angiosperms there is fruit as well as seed formation.
In gymnosperm ther is only seed formation but no fruit
formation, this is the most important and major difference
between them.
2. Gymnosperms are all trees, some of them are very tall
and massive. The Angiosperms, on the other hand, can be
trees, herbs as well as shrubs.
3. Gymnosperms have Tracheids in xylem and sieve cells in
phloem , companion cells are absent. Their xylem walls have
bordered pits. In Angiosperms, true vessels i.e. tracheae
are present in xylem. Sieve tubes and companion cells are
present in phloem. Their xylem walls show simple pits.
4. Gymnosperms are more ancient than the Angiosperms.
