what is difference between esd grounding and electerical
grounding.standared resistance value between esd grounding
and electrical grounding (Plz. give reason also that why we
keep this value.
Answer Posted / kd
ESD groundig is related to device specific grounding.
Component damage can occur as the result of a discharge to
the device, from the device, or from charge transfers
resulting from electrostatic fields. Devices vary
significantly in their sensitivity to ESD.
All conductors in the environment, including personnel,
must be bonded or electrically connected and attached to a
known ground or contrived ground, creating an equipotential
balance between all items and personnel.
Electrical ground is zero potential and infinite resistance.
there is no standard resistance value for ESD (but one can
logically assume as a very high value close to infinity)
but the resistance value for electrical ground is infinity
