why as atmospheric pressure increases,boiling point also

boiling occurs when vapour pressure is equal to the
atmospheric pressure means when they r in equilibrium, if
atmospherice pressure is more we need to have vapour
pressure that means molecules need more energy to overcome
the cohesive intermolecular force.
