Take this question as challange --> "Candle 'A' takes just
four hours to burn it completely and candle 'B'
takes 2 hrs. The girth of candle 'A' is just double of
candle 'B' with the same height. If Ram lit both the
candles in the same time and after how long time the length
of Candle 'B' would be just half of candle 'A'?

If both candles are of height x.
Suppose both candles were burnt for t hrs.
First one can burn for 4 hrs.
First one can burn for x/4 in 1 hr.
First one can burn for t*x/4 in t hr.
Balance = (x-t*x/4)
second one can burn in 2 hrs.
second one can burn in x/2 in 1 hr
Second one can burn for t*x/2 in t hr.
Balance = (x-t*x/2)
as per given condition
Balance = (x-t*x/4) = 2*(x-t*x/2)
or
1-t/4 = 2-t
t-t/4 =1
3*t/4=1
so t= 4/3 hrs
