what will happen if there is no expansion valve in the air
conditioning system? is there any possiblities of working an
AC system without expansion valve?

it is the expansion valve separates the high pressure and
low pressure in the system. the expansion valve is very
critical in an a/c system. this is the one which controls
the amount of flow of liquid freon to the low pressure side
permitting to expand and cool the air. in smaller air
conditioners the expansion valves are not used but capillary
tube is inserted to control the the flow of liquid freon
