Hi,
We find 7 layers on the Source Side and 7 layers on the
Destination side and the data transfer from Source to
destination is called as OSI Model (Open System
InterNetwork). The 7 layers are as follows on the Source
Side
1)Presentation Layer
2)DataLink Layer
3)Network Layer
4)Transport Layer
5)Session Layer
6)Physical Layer
7)Application Layer.
Similarly the viceversa of the layer from desecding order
is as 7,6,5,4,3,2,1 on the Destination side.
Application layer is the layer where the file is stored in
the form of an extension (eg:.pdf,.txt,.jpeg etc).
