in a induction motor, the secondary part , i .e. ,its rotor
is rotating , so it has mechnicallosses,which include
friction and windage losses, therefore , it has todraw more
current frm the main supply,on the other hand, trnsformer
secondary is stationary , it does not have rotational
losses, therefore it draws less current from the supply
