what is the diffrence between single phase and three phase

Answer Posted / jyotirmaya

In a
Single phase system: there will be one phase conductor and
one neutral conductor. The avaialble voltage in single phase
system is in between 210-240V and it is measured between
phase and neutral conductor.
whereas
In a
Three phase System: there will be three phase conductors for
three phases and one neutral conductor. The available
voltages are 415-440V when measured between Phase-Phase and
210-240 when measured Phase-Neutral.
