Capital is asset of the company. But why does it appear in
Liability side of the balance sheet.

balance sheet in prepared from the company point of
view.and the capital contributed by the share holder is not
the company capital so the company is obliged to pay its
share holder thats why it appear on the liability side of
balance sheet

Our company is manufacturing & marketing of seeds. seeds exempted under vat. recently we have purchased machinery for our new plant construction, against c form. now sales tax dept.not giving the c forms, because our final product is exempted, we are not eligible for c forms. kindly clarify.
