Ferranti Effect says that voltage at the receiving end is
higher than that at the sending end. How is it possible?

due to the capacitive effect it happens the two conductor act as two electrodes and air act as insulating medium and form capacitor this will give leading effect and making this problem

following are the questions asked in interviews: 1) Considering the short circuit fault, which switchgear is preferable, SFU OR MCCB? So what will be the basic allowable setting for the above protection? is there any formulae to calculate this<
