Transmission medium decides the probability for a signal to
reach the receiver without any error.If the transmission
medium in noisy ,there is a greater probability that an
error is in the signal received.This will prompt the network
to send a re-transmit request to the sender(actually this is
handled by the protocol used for communication). Anyway this
task if repeated frequently will cause delay in
communication and will affect the speed of network...
Usually characters of medium are
a) Bandwidth
b) Channel capacity
c) Error probability
d) Coding Technique used.....etc.

10. Write a program in ‘C’ language that will perform the following operation on double link list. Each node of this list contains the address of previous as well as next node. The previous pointer of first node & next pointer of last node should contain null. 1. Creation of list with as many records as user want 2. Search a node in the list 3. Deletion at last position 4. Display 5. Exit Create separate functions for each operation. The create () will be used to create the list. It should accept no argument & return the address of the starting node. Search() will search a node in the list. It receives rollno as argument & return that node if found otherwise return null. The delete () function will delete the last node. I have got one problem .I initially have got windows vista in my computer but now I installed linux UBUNTU operating system into my computer .For this i first format D: drive and got installed finely there and restart , when it boots there there were two options vista and ubuntu .But the problem is that when i choose vista it opens but screen seems to be dark only mouse pointer sees in the screen and no more windows appeared . But when i choose ubuntu it opens and asks for username and password .But i don't know these things. But linux is freeopen software , why it asks userename and password ? Now i am unable to use my computer ,i installed lunux without partioning the drive. Plz give me the solution The computer configuration of my computer is 80 GB harddisk, 1 GB RAM.3GHz speed.
