Can anybody tell me why inductors draw lagging current and
capacitors draw leading current from supply?
Answer Posted / md
lets we start with resistor in which voltage and current
are in same phase means when voltage attains its peak at
the same time current attains its peak but when it is
passed throuh inductor than rate of change of current is
opposed by inductor so when voltage attains its peak,
current is not able reach at peak at the same time but gets
delayed by some degree depends on inductance. in case of
capacitance rate of change of voltage is opposed by
capacitance but current can pass through it and than it
leads by some deg. depent on capacitance.
