when a hand crancked meggar is used to check most three
phase induction motors, how many tests r rquired? Why?
Answer Posted / balajieee
using meggar we will check it out insulation resistace
between each phase winding and body of the motor.then
insulation resistance between diff phases(R,Y,B).if the
resistance value is high and equal for each phase means the
motor winding is ok.in hand cracked meggar if u increase
speed means battery output supply also increasing.so if u
note the mega ohm value at high speed of meggar means u
will get accurate answer.
