why we use to transmit the power in three phases intead of
single phase ?
Answer Posted / phanendra babu
there are so many reasons
1.generation is 3ph. so convertion is difficult
2.losses will be more in single phase system
3.equipment cost will be increased
4.copper cost increased for example for 3ph sys 3wires are
enough to transmit but for 3 single phases 6 wires are req.
