Why One Rupees Note is issued by Government of India?
Why RBI not issue it?
Answer Posted / arun
one rupee note only issued by union government. that is only
actual rupee.
all other higher denomination currency notes are only
promissory notes issued by governor, reserve bank of India.
You will find "I Promise to pay the bearer a sum of rupees
---" in all higher denomination notes
