Hydrophobic interactions are a driving force in the folding
of macromolecules,the binding of substrate to enzymes and
the formation of membranes that define boundaries of cells.
The relationship is nonstoichiometric the clustering
together of nonpolar molecules or groups in water is called
HYDROPHOBIC INTERACTION.
