Castigliano's theorem is exactly based on strain energy
principle ,which gives the deflection & load acted ata
point .
From castigliano's 1st theorem ...., we can get the
deflection at a point of the body, by getting derivative of
strain energy wrt. the load acted at that point.
From castigliano's 2nd theorem ...., we can get the load at
a point by getting the derivative of total strain energy
wrt. the deflection at that point.
