ION exchange chromatography is in wide use for seperation of
aminoacids.
it employs resins such as strongly acidic cation
exchanger,dowex-50 and a strongly basic anion exchanger dowex-1.
former is polysterene sulfonic acid and latter a polysterene
quartenary ammonium salt.
