whenever a fault take place in any system. the fault
current start rising and it reaches to some high value.
your equipment are not rated for this high value so it will
get damaged. to restrict this fault current to rise. the
neutral of transformer or generator are earthed.
whenver the fault occurs the nautral passes this fault
current to ground and protect the costly equipments.
