Inborn error associated with phenyl alanine and tyrosine
metabolism is albinism,an autosomal recessive trait.
This involves defect in melanin production for which
tyrosine is precursor.
one type of albinism is believed to be due to a deficiency
of tyrosinase a copper containing enzyme needed for melanin
synthesis.
