Removal of ovary in females is known as ovariectomy.In
females castrated prior to puberty both menstrual and
reproductive cycles never appear.
Typical pelvic enlargement fails to occur and pubic and
axillary hair becomes scanty.
post pubertal castration results in suspension of menstrual
cycle and atrophy of uterus and vagina. mammary glands
become involuted osteoporosis gradually disappears.
