SOME algal plants like Botryococcus braunii they will
accumulate hydrocarbons.normally they will accumulate alkenes.
these alkenes are extracted from these plants and used as
source of fuel in industries and automobiles.
Like this another plant namely Calotropis procera also
accumulates petrol products.
such plants are called Petrol crops.
