Try programming your PLC to perform the functions of a
simple traffic light. This will work best if you have red,
green and yellow LED's or incandescant lamps mounted upon a
model intersection. If this appears too simple, you can
also include left turn arrows and even better, include a
proximity switch for an actuated intersection - where the
presence of a "car" is recognized and used to alter the
program so the car gets a green light. I've done this with
multiple PLC's and intersections where cars moving in a
single direction through multiple intersections receive a
progression of all green lights. Good luck.
