what is the general mechanism of high performance liqiud
chromatography?
Answer Posted / swati
HPLC is partition chromatography, in which a solute(or
solutes)is partioned between two immiscible liquids, one of
them is mobile phase and other is stationary phase. The
granualar solid serves as amechanical support for the
stationary phase , as it requried that the two liq. phase
should be immiscible, they must be differ in degree of
polarity.
