what is meant by bus bar and outgoing/incoming breaker in
an electrical/electronic circuit
Answer Posted / prashant
from the main distribution panel (MDB)the cables are taken
to the various SUB MAIN DISTRIBUTION PANELS (SMDBs)located
in the various typical floors or other locations. Normally
we can use cables for this purpose but in situation swhere
the the building is more than 15 - 20 floors it is more
economical to use BUSBARS.Busbars are nothing but CU
conductors and normally one RYBN section ( 4 poles but
actually neutral is only half ie, 3.5 poles )can feed up to
8 - 9 floors. In every floor there will be a tap off box
from where normal cables are used to till the SMDBs.
A breaker is sed to break the circuit in case of any faults
or for maintenance purposes. Incoming braeker is one which
is given before the transformer side and the outgoing
breaker is given after the transforemer side ( ie secondary
side ) Normally in case of maintenence we can only turn off
the outgoing breaker
