Short circuit means there is no resistance, so it will
produce high curent.
Overload means the device draw excess of currrent from the
supply source. due to this the source will be burn or
dameged.

if grounding is notdone at regular intervals for long distance transmission, will the load connected at distribution end receive voltage during negativehalf cycle of the sine wave?
