Why ate some clocks slow in summer and fast in winter ?
Answer Posted / sanju
In cheap clocks, the pendulum consists of a metal rod having
a bob at its lower end. The length of the pendulum increases
in hot weather and therefore the swing increases and the
clock begins to run slow. In winter, the swing becomes
smaller due to contraction of the pendulum and the clock
begins to run fast.
